Kai’s first day of grade 1 at the German School. I’m a very proud sister.
The German’s have a funny tradition that all the new grade one’s receive a so called ‘Sugar Cone’. I was a little jealous because I didn’t get a sugar cone. At the end of the ceremony they do the ‘Duck Dance’ which was also a little funny.
School starting again on the 11.Jan. So we decided to go out to ‘The Barn’ for some climbing. It’s poring with rain, we even struggle to get there with our little car on the dirt road.
But it’s all worth it….it’s once again a great experience and we get a good workout.
Daddy did the belay today. He learnt how to do it. So everytime we go to the barn we are not dependent on anyone to belay us.
The 3 of us had a great time, Connor, Kai and myself
My Opa passed away Friday night (6.January).
Rest in Peace my Opa, I will always remember you 🙁
Today we are going to do hiking at the Faerie Glen Nature Reserve. It’s so nice and cool today. We want to try and spot the Zebra’s and Impala’s.
We spot the centipedes, when you touch them they curl up.
And then we spotted the zebras and the impalas. We were hiding in the bush but when they saw us they fled.
Mami said she wants a better picture of the animals, so we followed their spoors.
Here are some impala prints. And here we are walking through the bush, watch out for those thorns. And yes… here we see the Zebras again but once again they run away from us.
It was great today in the bush, the scenery is beautiful and it’s just a very nice day out to get some fresh air and clear the head.
